TV & Radio
Sam joined BBC Radio Solent in 2004 as a travel presenter. Since then she has worked as a presenter on all shows in the daytime schedule as well as in production and newsgathering.
From 2013 – 2016 she presented the Early Breakfast Show and from 2019 – 2020 she was the presenter on the station’s Drive show.
She currently works as a ‘swing’ presenter.
In 2012 Sam was taken on as a stand-by weather presenter for BBC South, building a small profile within the South Today team. She enjoyed a long stint covering the lead weather presenter’s maternity leave through 2018 and 2019, developing her live broadcast skills.
Sam continues to enjoy that role, as well as presenting other news items for South Today.
She especially enjoys live outside broadcasts and big interviews.
Highlights include sharing subversive moments with Dame Judi Dench, getting high (literally) with the Red Devils parachute display team, and perching on Christopher Biggins’ good knee.
